Dell AI Factory includes pilot modules and small inference configurations, so it is not limited to large businesses. It is an optional procurement and deployment route, not a prerequisite for using OpenShell on the Operator's existing k3s infrastructure.

Small-business fit is a procurement choice

This answers the Operator's small-business application question.

Dell's current AI Factory with NVIDIA page explicitly includes pilot modules and small inference foundations, alongside larger deployments. Dell Automation Platform supplies validated blueprints and deployment automation. This is evidence that a small organization can buy a selected solution, not evidence that the whole portfolio is one application installable onto arbitrary k3s or GKE clusters.

My recommendation is to consider Dell when the business wants supplied local compute, implementation, and defined support responsibilities, rather than to obtain a prerequisite for OpenShell. Ask for the exact hardware, software entitlements, compatible platform, supported integration with existing clusters, recovery scope, and support responsibilities. We have neither requested a quotation nor verified Dell support for the Operator's k3s cluster.

OpenShell itself can be used on supported infrastructure without BlueField, so the software pilot can precede any hardware or integrated-solution purchase.
